A: The 2007 season begins on August 6th  with the first practice, and depending on whether or not a team advances to the play-offs, can end on December 8th with the Super Bowl (championship games).  The 2007 Super Bowl will be held at Santa Barbara City College.  All Star Games for the J2 and Senior players is at SBCC.

Q: How often do teams practice?

1st week: Conditioning without pads shall equal five(5) days, two(2) hours per day, totaling ten(10) hours.
2nd week: Helmets and shoulder pads may be worn for dummy contact only. Teams may practice up to five(5) days during this week:

Q: Which team will my child play on?
A: Players are assigned to teams based on their age, weight and where they live.  Players are assigned to a division at the time of registration.  Immediately after the last regular sign-up date, all players' names within a division are pinned to an area map at the spot where they live. Then, depending on the number of teams planned, the map is divided into sections containing equal numbers of players. The division lines are drawn straight north-south and do not change for the remainder of the season.

Q: What if we are on vacation during conditioning?
A: Every player must complete ten(10) hours of conditioning (calisthenics and isometrics) before equipment is issued, and eight(8) non-contact hours with helmet and pads before any direct player contact.  Players returning from vacation must fulfill this requirement prior to any player-to-player contact in any practice, scrimmage or game.  Players will have the opportunity to complete their conditioning during regular practice times.

Q: What if my child cannot make a practice?
A: You should contact your team's head coach as soon as possible.

Q: How do I sign up my child?
A: Registration is closed for the 2007 season.  Please check back next April for 2008 registration information.
